Abel Wolman was an American inventor, scientist, professor and pioneer of modern sanitary engineering. The papers trace Abel Wolman's active career as teacher, consulting engineer and advisor to local, national, and international agencies and include correspondence, documents, and files documenting his various activities from 1901-1989.

Adele Meade was a teacher and violinist in the Baltimore area. Her papers include photographs, a scrapbook, and personal papers primarily relating to her teaching career.

Allen Weir Freeman was a physician and Johns Hopkins University of Public Health Administration born in 1881, and was brother of the author, Douglas Southall Freeman. Collection consists of letters to and from Freeman family members (dating 1904 - 1907) while Allen Weir Freeman was a medical student and during the start of his career.

The Baltimore Chapter of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) is a regional professional organization for organists and choral conductors. It was named the Chesapeake Chapter from its founding in 1924 until the late 1980s or early 1990s. The chapter records contain administrative documents, correspondence, yearbooks, newsletters, and related materials produced or collected by the chapter.

The collection consists of one hand-written letter of Florentine bibliophile, Antonio Magliabechi. The letter is written in Italian and bound into a volume along with a typescript English translation. Also in the volume is a copy of D'Israeli's biographical description of Magliabecchi from Curiosities of Literature. The letter was written August 24, 1697 to author, Giovanni Giustino Ciampini (1633-1698).

The collection consists of a letter written to The Johns Hopkins University by the English author, Sir Arthur du Cros, saying that a copy of his book, Wheels of Fortune, has been sent to be added to the library.

Professional and political papers of Democratic Senator Barbara A. Mikulski, who served on the Baltimore City Council (1971-1976), in the U. S. House of Representatives for Maryland’s 3rd Congressional District (1977-1987), in the U. S. Senate for Maryland (1987-2017), and as a Homewood Professor of Public Policy at Johns Hopkins University.

C. Alphonso Smith (1864 – 1924) was an American Professor of English, college dean, philologist, and folklorist. The collection consists largely of clippings from newspapers and periodical regarding the English language and the introduction of slang words used by the military, ranging from 1905-1923.

Charles Howard Carter was born in Baker, Oregon on April 3, 1927. He was Professor of History at Tulane University and a noted specialist on Spanish and European diplomacy in the sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries.

Charles McCurdy "Mac" Mathias Jr. (1922-2010) was a Republican member of the United States Senate, representing Maryland from 1969 to 1987. He was also a member of the Maryland House of Delegates and the United States House of Representatives. The collection includes material from Mathias's service in both the House of Representatives and the Senate dating from approximately 1958-1988.

Christopher Lobingier (1944-2014) was a composer based in Baltimore who wrote the original score to the 1977 John Waters film Desperate Living and participated in the Baltimore Composers Forum. This collection contains scores of original compositions by Chris Lobingier, including his score to Desperate Living, as well as materials related to the Baltimore Composers Forum, recordings, and other ephemera.

The collection consists of correspondence, manuscript notes, reports, meteorological observations, reprints, drawings, and lecture notes of astronomer and meteorologist, Cleveland Abbe, dating from 1851 to 1952.

A collection of almost 260 letters and documents dating 1861-1864, written by various officers of the Confederate States Government and the Confederate Navy.

Daniel Willard was born on January 28, 1861 in Hartland, Vermont and became president of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad (B&O) in 1910. The collection consists of correspondence, the Stevens Commission, photographs, and biographical information spanning 1899 to 1942.

Don Cameron Allen was a writer and professor at Johns Hopkins University. The collection spans the years 1948-1972 and consists of approximately 85 letters, mostly from well known writers.

Donald S. Sutherland is an organist and former coordinator of the Organ Department faculty at the Peabody Conservatory. The Donald Sutherland papers, approximately 1929-2015, contain documents and musical scores related to Sutherland's career as an organist and organ instructor.

Douglas Southall Freeman (1886 – 1953) was an American historian, biographer, newspaper editor, and author best known for his multi-volume biographies of Robert E. Lee and George Washington. The collection spans the years 1902-1911, and consists primarily of correspondence between Freeman and his parents.

E. Emmet Reid (born 1872) was a professor of chemistry at Johns Hopkins. The collection consists of reprints, extensive student notes, lecture notes, correspondence, and patents dating from 1889 to 1974.
