Edwin Litchfield Turnbull papers
Edwin Litchfield Turnbull (1872-1927) was a musician who helped create both the Johns Hopkins University and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. The collection spans the years 1881-1971 and consists of approximately 400 letters, photographs, loose newspaper clippings, juvenile notebooks, and 13 scrapbooks of newspaper clippings relating to musical, social, or other events.

Frieda Thies papers
Frieda Thies was curator of manuscripts at the Milton S. Eisenhower Library, Johns Hopkins University, from 1902 to 1968. The collection consists largely of personal items belonging to Frieda Thies dating from 1908-1984. Included are notebooks, photographs, a memoir, and correspondence.
John Calvin French papers
John Calvin French was professor of English and librarian at The Johns Hopkins University and author of "A History of the University founded by Johns Hopkins." The collection consists largely of his research and manuscript notes dealing with the founding and later development of the University dating from 1928-1957.
Minnie Gresham Machen notebook
Minnie Gresham Machen (1849-1931) was a writer of religious literature in Baltimore, MD. The collection consists of a volume with entries dated 1874-1904 with relatively few entries. The writings in the notebook deal largely with religious subjects, but there are references to the poet, Sidney Lanier.
National Lanier Centennial Committee papers
A committee was formed in 1940 to celebrate the centenary of poet Sidney Lanier's birth, February 3, 1842. The collection consists of the correspondence of Elinor Pillsbury recruiting members of the National Lanier Centennial Committee, dating from 1939 through 1945.

Sidney Clopton Lanier (1842-1881) was an American musician, poet and author. The collection spans the years 1838 to 1998, with the bulk dating from 1838 to 1972. The material consists of correspondence, prose, poetry, lecture and music manuscripts, photographs, memorial information, and newspaper clippings.
