Two manuscript depositions in a dispute between William Holland and Francis Thomas, both of Frederick County, Maryland over the enslavement of a woman and her child. The woman is referred to by the name "Suck" in the depositiond, and her child is unnamed. The first deposition is dated August 1788 and is from a man named John Holmes.
