Collection consists of one holographic letter of John Ramsay McCulloch written to Thomas Baring, Esquire MP, March 31, 1863. The letter was written after the publication of McCulloch's "A Treatise on the Principles and Practicle Influence of Taxation and the Funding System" in 1863. McCulloch writes in the letter that he is giving a copy to Thomas Baring, grandson of Sir Francis Baring, the founder of Baring's Bank.
