The records of the Office of Public Information/News and Information range in date from 1945 to 2005 and relate to the office's coordination and publicity of university activities, particularly special events. Materials include subject files of people, places, and events associated with Johns Hopkins University, press releases, photographs, newsletters and newspapers including copies of the Johns Hopkins Gazette, and faculty files.

This collection consists of records of the Villa Spelman from 1961 to 2006, with the bulk of the material dating from 1980 to 2000. It includes photographs, materials marketing Villa Spelman colloquia and other events, correspondence with the Spelman family, Villa Spelman Advisory Committee records, a video promoting Villa Spelman to the Trustees, oral histories with Villa Spelman staff), and other records maintained by the Director of Villa Spelman.

Villa Spelman records
The Johns Hopkins Center for Italian Studies at Villa Spelman was established in the early 1970s in accordance with the bequest of Leolyn and Timothy Mather Spelman. The property was sold by the university in September 2008. This collection consists of records of the Villa Spelman from 1961 to 2006; the bulk of the material dates from 1980 to 2000.
