Allred family papers
This collection features materials from members of the Allred family, a Russian-American family, documenting life in the international city of Harbin as it shifted from Russian to Chinese control, and the Japanese occupation of Shanghai. Materials range in date from 1900 to 2003, and include correspondence, a diary, official documents, printed material, and photographs.
Bombs and Bayonets in Wuhu
Collection consists of a carbon typescript in the form of a letter, dated January 14, 1938. It describes aerial attacks and subsequent invasion of Wuhu, China by the Japanese army in December 1937.
Chinese newspaper collection
The collection consists of several pages of a Chinese newspaper published February 3, 1940 in Canton, China (Guangzhou). At the time of publication, Canton was controlled by the Japanese army.
