Amantine-Lucile-Aurore Dupin (1804-1876), best known by her pseudonym George Sand, was a French novelist and memoirist. This is an artifically assembled collection with items chosen by the curators of Special Collections, related to or created by George Sand in the 19th century.
This is an artificially assembled collection of printed manuscript materials selected by the curators of Special Collections, centered on the musical, theatrical, and public speaking careers of Langston Hughes. Hughes was an American poet, novelist, playwright, columnist, social thinker and activist, and leading figure in New York City's Harlem Renaissance. The collection spans from 1927 to 1999, with the bulk of it dating from 1936 to 1967.
A zine is most commonly a small circulation self-published work of original or appropriated texts and images usually reproduced via photocopier. This collection of zines was assembled by curators within Special Collections and were printed between 2007 to 2013.
