Illustrated with an engraved vignette of a Lady Columbia-like figure holding a staff and surrounded by flags, a shield, navigational instruments, and a globe. Above her head in a ribbon are the words, "Intelligence the Life of Liberty." A rare commemorative ribbon celebrating the fourth of July in Albany, New York. The item was printed in 1838.
