Overview This collection contains a hardback handwritten copy of Oskar Kalbus's Vom Werden deutscher Filmkunst, Volumes I and II. This draft, composed in approximately 1935, is the first attempt at an extensive account of German cinema. The manuscript is divided into two volumes concerning silent films and sound films, respectively.
