Abstract Louis Lombard was a violinist, composer, and conductor who founded the Utica (N.Y.) Conservatory of Music in 1889 and led an orchestra at his estate in Switzerland in the early twentieth century. Soprano Phyllis Bryn-Julson taught at the Peabody Conservatory from 1984 to 2017 and is recognized as one of the most authoritative interpreters of vocal music of the 20th century.
