Johns Hopkins University oral history collection
This is an artificially assembled collection of oral histories recorded with administration, faculty, staff, alumni, students, and other Johns Hopkins University affiliates, 1999-2004 and 2014-present. The early oral history interviews were faciliated by Mame Warren starting 1999, and as of 2014 by Hopkins Retrospective.
Peabody Institute sound and video recordings
The Peabody Institute has regularly recorded concerts, recitals, and other events on campus since the 1960s. These recordings form the core of the Peabody Institute's sound and video recordings collection.
Phyllis Bryn-Julson papers
Soprano Phyllis Bryn-Julson taught at the Peabody Conservatory from 1984 to 2017 and is recognized as one of the most authoritative interpreters of vocal music of the 20th century. Her collection contains manuscript and facsimile scores by several notable composers with whom she worked, including Milton Babbitt, Pierre Boulez, Heinz Holliger, and David Del Tredici, as well as correspondence, programs, clippings, photographs, and other documents related to her career.
Randolph S. Rothschild papers, including the Chamber Music Society of Baltimore records
Records of the Cross Country folk trio
The Baltimore-area musical group Cross Country performed folk music in the 1980s and early 1990s. The collection contains the trio's administrative documents, photographs, and recordings.
Reginald Stewart papers
Reginald Stewart was a Scottish-born conductor and pianist who served as direcctor of the Peabody Institute from 1941 to 1959 and music director of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra from 1942 to 1952. His papers include scrapbooks, correspondence, photographs, and recordings related to his career.
Richard Lidz collection of reel-to-reel audio tapes
This collection consists of reel-to-reel tapes of archival broadcast footage, copies of audio packages created by Richard Lidz as part of his business of producing cassette tapes relating to various aspects of United States history.
SAIS Reischauer Center records
This collection consists of records of the Reischauer Center at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University and are primarily audio and visual material. The dates of these materials have not been established, but do date from 1998 and before.
School of Advanced International Studies Public Affairs Office records
This collection consists of subject files, press clippings, reports, and audio tapes on the same topics, from the 1940s to the 1990s (bulk: 1980s -1990s).
The Roseanne Klass collection on Afghanistan and the Soviet-Afghan War
Roseanne Traxler Klass was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. From 1980 to 1991 Klass founded and headed the Afghanistan Information Center at Freedom House in New York, NY.The papers document the various aid groups and human rights organizations involved in the Afghanistan war from the 1970s to the late 1990s. Support groups include the Afghanistan Relief Committee, Free Afghanistan, and Medicines san Frontieres.
