Wilson (1922-2016) was a Baltimore native who owned the Phoenix Book Shop in Greenwich Village, New York and was a well-known collector of signed first editions of works by his favorite literary figures, particularly Gertrude Stein. This collection consists of one leatherbound scrapbook consisting of approximately 104 photographs, and related ephemera, kept by the Navy sailor Thomas E. Baker of the Baltimore-commissioned ship the U.S.S. Pentheus. The materials date between 1939 and 1945.

Dr. Samuel H. Bryant, of Baltimore, Maryland, was born on March 25, 1905. This collection consists of about 350 letters written by Dr. Samuel H. Bryant of Baltimore, Maryland, to his wife, Edna C., between May 14, 1941 and November 15, 1944. Most of the letters were sent from undisclosed locations in the South Pacific (around the islands of Fiji).

Abstract Edward "Ted" Athelstan Marshall was born Edward Howard Marshall on May 8, 1920 in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Johns Hopkins University from 1939 to 1943, where he majored in English Literature. Upon commencement, Marshall joined the U.S. Army infantry the same year. He was killed in combat in Europe on November 10, 1944.
