Anthony Hecht (1923-2004), one of the leading poets of his generation, is most well-known for his anthology The Hard Hours (1967), generally seen as his break-through volume. The materials range from 1982 to 2005, the later years of Hecht's literary career.

Anthony Trollope (1815–1882) was one of the most successful, prolific and respected English novelists of the Victorian era. Of particular interest is a February 16, 1862 letter written by Trollope to A.N. Zevely (?) of Baltimore. The collection spans 1862 to the mid-20th century.
