Franz Adamus, the pseudonym of Ferdinand Bronner, was born in Poland in 1867. The collection consists of four bound plays in typescript written by Franz Adamus, only one of which has been published.

Derek Alton Walcott play

Abstract

Sir Derek Alton Walcott (1930–2017) was a Saint Lucian poet and playwright. He received the 1992 Nobel Prize in Literature. This collection is comprised of one unpublished play, "Franklin," by Walcott. The play is in typescript form, 65 pages in length, and believed to date from the 1950s.

Ernst Feise papers

Scope and Contents The collection consists of research and/or lecture notes in Feise's handwriting concerning approximately 300 major German literary figures of the 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. The notes are filed alphabetically by author, and for most of them Feise provides biographical details and and analysis of the works of each author. The papers have no dates with the exception of a few pages which are dated in the early 1940s, but Feise probably compiled the material between the mid-1930s and...

Henry Carrington Lancaster papers

Abstract

Henry Carrington Lancaster, a scholar and educator in the fields of French literature and history, was born in 1883 in Richmond, Virginia. The collection spans the years 1913-1954 and includes correspondence, a scrapbook, research notes outlining and analyzing the plays of 17th and 18th century French dramatists and the repertoire of the Comedie Francaise, drafts and typescripts, and galley proofs. A large part of the collection is in French.

Lancaster French Play collection

Scope and Contents The collection (1629-1700) consists of photostats of 28 French plays written or performed in the seventeenth century. The plays are in French and were aquired from libraries in France by Henry Carrington Lancaster, Johns Hopkins professor of French literature, while he was researching and writing A History of French Dramatic Literature in the Seventeenth Century. In the published volumes, Dr. Lancaster notes the locations and the manuscript numbers of the original manuscripts. One other item...

Dr. Alfred Loewenberg (1902-1949) was an author and bibliographer. The Loewenberg Clipping Collection consists of articles removed from German newspapers, 1880-1930. All items are written in German.
