Abstract

Broadus Mitchell was an educator, historian, and biographer of Alexander Hamilton. Mitchell taught economics at Hopkins, 1919-1939, and was active in political affairs and issues of social justice in Baltimore. The collection consists of some papers related to Broadus Mitchell's research for his published work, William Gregg, Factory Master of the Old South, (1928) and Mitchell's biographical materials. The papers span from 1928 to 1929 and 1979-1986.

The Theater Chamber Players, founded by Peabody Institute faculty members Dina Koston and Leon Fleisher, were a chamber music ensemble that featured 20th-century music and was based primarily in Washington, D.C., from 1968 to 2003. Victor Lowe papers

Victor Lowe (born 1907) was a professor of philosophy at The Johns Hopkins University, and the biographer of mathematician and philosopher, Alfred North Whitehead. This collection of papers largely relates to Lowe's research into the life of Whitehead and consists mainly of research notes, correspondence, and articles about Whitehead collected by Lowe. Included also are some personal papers which Lowe re-filed with these research files.
