Charles Mason Remey papers

Abstract

Charles Mason Remey was an architect, author, and a religious leader of the Baha'i faith. He was born in Burlington, Iowa, May 15, 1874. The collection consists of 154 bound volumes, spanning 1836-1940. In the volumes are personal reminiscences, clippings, photographs, memorabilia, biographical accounts of Mason and Remey family members, and a historical record of the Baha'i faith.

Ernst Feise papers

Scope and Contents The collection consists of research and/or lecture notes in Feise's handwriting concerning approximately 300 major German literary figures of the 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. Ludwig Pietsch (1824–1911), a German critic, and Theodor Fontane (1819–1898), a German writer, maintained a long friendship. The Fontane-Pietsch collection consist of photographs, newspaper clippings and letters from 1845-approximately 1898. There is also an article describing the Fontane-Pietsch correspondence dated 1977. The collection is in German, though some English translations have been made.
