Leonard Leopold Mackall, American bibliographer, editor and collector was born in Baltimore on January 29, 1879. The collection consists of correspondence, scrapbooks, subject files and other research materials. In 1925, he joined The Johns Hopkins University faculty as Caroline Donovan Professor of English, a post he held until his retirement in 1949.
