Carlyle Barton Laboratory technical reports
The Carlyle Barton Laboratory was a semi-autonomous engineering laboratory (early 1950s to 1970), operating under contract for the United States Air Force, in collaboration with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University. The records include technical reports with unique identifiers in the form of report numbers given by the Laboratory. The reports were produced from 1954 to 1968.

Charles McCurdy "Mac" Mathias Jr. (1922-2010) was a Republican member of the United States Senate, representing Maryland from 1969 to 1987. He was also a member of the Maryland House of Delegates and the United States House of Representatives. The collection includes material from Mathias's service in both the House of Representatives and the Senate dating from approximately 1958-1988.

The Board of Trustees established the "Committee to Study the Structure, Organization and Functions of the Board of Trustees and to Consider Possible Amendments to the Charter of the University" under the chairmanship of Howard Bruce, a Trustee of the University from 1947 to 1953. The records of the Survey of the Activities on the Homewood Campus, conducted by the management engineering firm Cresap, McCormick and Paget, consist of one report produced by that firm.
