This collection includes a first edition copy of the first issue of Duke magazine, published in June 1957. Duke was publised by the Duke Publishing Company and ran for six issues.

This collection contains three chromolithographic trade cards advertising a soap product called “Soapine," dated approximately 1880-1884, manufactured by the Kendall Manufacturing Company. The cards were designed by American writer and illustrator, Charlotte Perkins Gilman (1860-1935). The Kendall Manufacturing Company was established in 1827 in Providence, Rhode Island.

This collection consists of an essay titled, “The Bitch Manifesto,” considered to be one of the leading texts of the Second Wave Feminist movement, and one of the earliest examples of language reclamation made by a social movement. The essay was written by Jo Freeman, under her movement name "Joreen," and originally published in 1970.

This collection includes postcards from a series titled "Lernt Deutschland kennen!" which depict images and descriptions of German towns and landmarks. The cards were created between 1930 and 1963 and are pre-printed with stamps of Paul von Hindenburg, Adolf Hitler, and Martin Luther.

This collection includes letters from Edward Renouf to his father describing his travels in Europe with Ira Remsen. Renouf was a faculty member in chemistry at Johns Hopkins University from 1885 to 1911 and an acquaintance of Remsen's.

This collection consists of a friendship album belonging to Lorinda Fitts Merriam of Champion, New York, created between 1838 and 1840.

A handmade book of poems accompanied by watercolor landscapes created in 1927 by Lucile West. There is currently no biographical information available on Lucile West or C.S. West, who contributed the watercolor illustrations.
