Scope and Contents
A collection of about 1,000 20th century postcards, chiefly depicting libraries but also featuring about 100 postcards depicting scenes related to book reading, bookselling, and book collecting. The collection was named in honor of Charlotte Tufts, the librarian and deltiologist who created the collection.

Charlotte Tufts was a librarian for many years, and also worked with a dealer in rare manuscripts.

There is no arrangement to this collection. Portions of the collection are grouped according to state in which a given set of libraries are located, but these groupings repeat themselves throughout the collection.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Donated in June 2014 by Lee Kirk, who purchased the collection from Charlotte Tufts's daughter upon her mother's death.
