Biographical / Historical

Dr. Harriet Greif, nee Krakow, was born in Washington, DC. and earned earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland in 1948. She went on to earn her M.A. and Ph.D from the Johns Hopkins University. She taught at Loyola College through the 1960s and was the author of "Historia de Nacimientos: The Poetry of Emilio Prados," which was published in 1980.

She was a member of the Alumni Council of Johns Hopkins University and served on the board of the Public Works Museum in Baltimore.

These papers were given by the creator, Harriet Greif, to Dr. Paul Olson, who then donated them to Special Collections on November 29, 2001.
