Abstract
The collection consists of approximately 230, loose photographs and photostats of title pages used as plates in the published volume: Seventeenth Century Maryland: A Bibliography published in 1949.
Provenance
The collection was transferred from the John Work Garrett Library to the Manuscripts Department, June 1990.
Existence and Location of Copies
Available in published work: Baer, Elizabeth. "Seventeenth century Maryland: A Bibliography." Baltimore. Johns Work Garrett Library, 1949.
Processing Information
Finding aid prepared by Joan Grattan in July 1990. When the collection was received in the Manuscripts Department, the photographs and photostats were separated chronologically into yearly segments, 1612-1700. There were two exceptions: one for works by Peter Heylyn and one for works by Thomas Bray, D.D. Each segment was given a letter designation, and the items were filed in an alphabetized binder. This arrangement varies slightly from the published plates which were numbered consecutively 1 to 209. The items have been removed from the binder, but the chronological arrangement has been retained. The items are stored in one document box
