Content Description

A black and white publicity poster for a noontime concert given in Levering Hall in the spring of 1989. The poster shows the six performers. The centerpiece of their program was Franz Schubert’s “Trout” Quintet, with a slow movement based on Schubert’s song “Die Forelle” (“The Trout”). According to the donor, when Douglas Fambrough made the concert poster, pre-internet, he couldn’t find a picture of a trout to illustrate it, so he sketched the skeleton of an eaten fish and put it beneath the photo.
