Biographical / Historical

Winston Danae Walters (1914-1968) was a professor in the chemistry department at the University of Rochester. He completed his doctoral degree at Johns Hopkins University in 1937, after which he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Leipzig. His research focused on the thermal decomposition of simple organic molecules and isotope exchange reactions. During World War II, he was associated with the National Defense Research Committee.
