Biographical / Historical

Robert Childress (1915–1983) was an American illustrator, best known for his contributions to the children's books Dick and Jane during the 1950s. Childress studied architecture at Clemson University and graduated in 1936. In the 1970s, Childress illustrated campus scenes of over thirty colleges and universities.
