Derived from dealer description: An autographed manuscript written in French by P. Cuisin, titled Les Lunes poétiques des deux-mondes; Contemplations Philosophiques, Historiques, Morales et Religieuses, or The Poetic Moons of the Two Worlds; Philosophical, Historical, Moral and Religious Contemplations. The manuscript is undated, but was likely created in Paris between 1820 and 1845, and consists of four folio gatherings, with approximately one thousand written pages, hand-sewn by the author. Combining theater and poetry, and citing the artists of his time, Cuisin deals with topics that he considered dramatically interesting and dear to his pen. Cuisin’s imperative was "to express in poetry all these horrible pictures, ingenious or charming of this Paris Prothée, this modern Paris."

The manuscript also contains a complete and unpublished novel by Cuisin titled Un Pan de Rideau Levé sur Une des Milles Horreurs de Lutèce, or, A Pan of Curtain Raised on One of the Thousand Horrors of Lutetia. The novel is approximately two hundred pages, with many additions on added paper inserts. The text is found between the end of the first notebook of the manuscript and the beginning of the second.
