Scope and Contents
Collection consists of one bound volume (the second of two) containing verbatim account of psychology seminar held on September 1-3, 1925. The purpose of the seminar was to consider the relationship of the study of human behavior to the other social sciences. Participants were economists, statisticians, sociologists, historians, anthropologists, and psychologists. It was organized by [Beardsley] Ruml and funded by the Laura Spelman Rockefeller Memorial. Other participants included Mr. Bingham, Mr. Bott, Mr. Coss, Mr. Herrick, Dean Johnston, Mr. Paterson, Mr. Wells, Mr. Mayo, Mr. Wissler, Mr. Pinter, Mr. Seashore, Mr. Stratton, Mr. Thurstone, Mr. Woodworth, Mr. Koehler, Mr. Woodbridge, and Mr. Angell.

Biographical Note
Leon Carroll Marshall was a professor, Institue of Law, Johns Hopkins University and was a well known educator in the field of commerce and administration. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio in 1879 and educated at Ohio Weslyan University and Harvard. From 1907 to 1928, Marshall held various positions at the University of Chicago including dean of the graduate school of business. He was appointed to Hopkins in 1928 to become professor of law and director of the Institute of Law until its closing in 1933. In 1934, President Franklin Roosevelt selected Marshall to become a member of the National Labor Board and the National Recovery Administration. Marshall left Hopkins in 1939 and ended his academic career in 1948, when he retired from American University. Leon Carroll Marshall died in 1966 in Bethesda.
