This item is an album with an applied fabric cover and hand-stitched fabric border. It includes thirty-six works of art constructed with paper, ribbons, and hair. Each work is captioned with the individual's name and a brief sentiment. The artwork includes a heart with plaited eternal braid, a ribbon at the base and a multilayered miniature flower at center. Also included are hair bundles woven with yarn and another with a bit of netting backing a lock with applied verse. There is hair from a seventy year old man, and various plaits and loops of hair. Thirty-two of the items were created between 1867-1874, and the last four are from 1897. The album measures 18 x 27 cm when closed.
