Biographical / Historical

Copied from biographical note that accompanied the etching: [Don Swann, Jr. is a] graduate of Princeton University in Art and Archaeology, attended the Maryland Institute [College of Art] and Johns Hopkins University and studied with his father for four years. Later taught etching and has lectured on etching. Author of "Colonial and Historical homes in Maryland." He had completed almost three dozen etchings of his own. He will carry on the organization of the Ethcrafters Art Guild which was founded by his father. These etchings are signed by the artist himself.

Abstract

Don Swann, Jr. is a graduate of Princeton University in Art and Archaeology, attended the Maryland Institute College of Art and Johns Hopkins University and studied with his father for four years. He has completed almost three dozen etchings of his own. He will carry on the organization of the Ethcrafters Art Guild which was founded by his father.
