Copied from dealer description: "Numbered series of fifteen chromolithographic postcards depicting bullfighting in Mexico c. 1900. These spectacularly colored postcards depict a full day at the bullfighting arena-from the arrival at the bull ring and the entrance of the matadors and the bulls to the death of the bull and its removal from the ring. The action scenes show the horse mounted picador with his sharp lance and banderillas, the charge of the bull, the goring of a horse, and the skilled cape and sword-work of the matador. The depiction of the Mexican bullfighting scene with its colorful costumed matadors, red capes, and beautifully attired senoritas is especially suited to the sharp images here reproduced by chromolithography. Beautifully printed in Germany by Stengel & Co., some of the largest exporters of postcards."
