"The Pentagon Is Rising" buttons, 1967 October 21
Scope and Contents
These pins were created for the October 21, 1967 anti-Vietnam War protest at the Pentagon in Washington, DC.
The pins are as follows:
1. A pin from the National Mobilization Committee to End the War in Vietnam which features an orange sky with a floating black pentagon shape over black grass. Beneath the grass is the text "The Pentagon is Rising October 21." (Box 2, item 5)
2. A black and white pin from the Fifth Avenue Vietnam Peace Parade Committee which shows a black pentagon shape with "Oct 21" written on it and "Washington DC" over it.
