Scope and Contents
A printed memorandum from the Minister of the Interior Jean-Antoine Chaptal, dated 5th of Germinal, year eleven of the Republic, to department prefects. The memo describes a decision from the Council of State on the housing for recruiting officers and non-commissioned officers, describing how their housing will be provided for under various circumstances in the places where they are recruiting, as well as when firewood and candles are provided at government expense to those officers.
