Scope and Contents Collection consists of one undated letter of Francis M. Balfour written from Trinity College, Cambridge University. Most likely the letter was written to Johns Hopkins professor of biology, Henry Newell Martin. Balfour wrote of a proposed memorial to Charles Darwin and an endowment for a professorship of physiology at Trinity.

Overview Nora Barlow (1885–1989) was the granddaughter of the British naturalist Charles Darwin and a scholar of his work. Collection consists of one letter of Nora Barlow to Johns Hopkins University professor, Maurice Mandelbaum, written January 25, 1959, and one reprint of Mandelbaum's article, "Darwin's Religious Views," published in 1958.
