Scope and Contents

The Homewood Photography collection contains born-digital photographs taken at the Peabody Institute from 2004 to 2015. Topics include Peabody students and faculty, including portraits of individuals, lectures, awards, and receptions; concerts, events, buildings, commemorations, dedications, and commencements; alumni and alumnae events; and other topics related to Peabody campus life, the student body, faculty, community programs, and campus events.

Johns Hopkins Homewood Photography is a full-service, on-campus resource for professional photography and photographic services, which provides editorial and news photography, portraits, and research photography for Johns Hopkins University clients on the Homewood campus and beyond. The Peabody Institute Homewood Photography collection contains born-digital photographs taken at or for the Peabody Institute from 2004 to 2015.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Materials were transferred from the Homewood Photography parent office to Johns Hopkins University Special Collections, which transferred files of Peabody-associated events in 2017 and 2018.

Processing Information

Processed by Matt Testa in 2017 and 2018, with assistance from Elizabeth England in University Special Collections.

Photo sets are described based on their original file name and listed chronologically. Each photo set described contains approximately 10 percent of photographs randomly sampled from the original set.
