Scope and Contents
In the course of his research and teaching, Henry A. Rowland collected an extensive library of reprints on a variety of subjects. The reprints from the the period, 1793-1900, number over two thousand. Rowland arranged for the reprints to be bound according to the following subjects: Electricity, Heat, Liquids, Mechanics, Gases, Apparatus and Methods, Physics of the Earth, Solids, Chemistry, Accoustics, and Light. An index of articles is bound into the front of each bound volume.

Rowland collected an extensive library of reprints (1793-1900) on a variety of subjects, including: Electricity, Heat, Liquids, Mechanics, Gases, Apparatus and Methods, Physics of the Earth, Solids, Chemistry, Acoustics, and Light.
Custodial History
The collection of reprints was formerly part of the Henry Augustus Rowland Papers (MS.0006). They were removed from MS.0006 in November 1995 and processed as a separate collection.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
These reprints were donated in July 1991 by Elizabeth Rowland Mayor, Henry Rowland's granddaughter.
