Scope and Contents
The records of Phi Delta Kappa, Alpha Rho Chapter, are quite sparse, covering only the years 1944 to 1947, and 1971. The records are mostly in the form of newsletters, although a few circular letters and one candidates' list have survived. These records do, however, provide a glimpse of the purpose and functions of the fraternity.

All student organization records received prior to 2017 are closed for 25 years from the date of creation to everyone except current members of the student organization, after which they are publicly available for access. Biographical / Historical
Phi Delta Kappa was both a social and a professional fraternity, focusing on education. The group sponsored speakers, such as Thomas G. Pullen, Jr., State Superintendent of Public Instruction. They also went on field trips to educational institutions, conducted panel discussions and staged inter-chapter banquets. The fraternity was most active during the 1940s, although it continued into the 1970s.
