George Huntington Williams, 1886-1894
Scope and Contents note
Series 6, George Huntington Williams, contains materials pertaining to his career, including a large scrapbook of articles reporting various academic achievements of Williams and materials dealing with organizations outside of Hopkins with which he was involved, including the Sons of the American Revolution. In all, the material in the scrapbook dates from 1886 to 1894. Also in the series is a folder of letters from prospective participants in a trip to South America, organized by Professor Edward Berry in 1919 and 1920. Most of the letters are from ex-servicemen, recently released from duty at the end of the First World War, and the remainder are from graduate students at various universities and assorted independent geologists.
