Scope and Contents

This series consists of legal and financial records relating to the Urner family in Maryland (1800s-1890s), the service documents of Urner family members from World War I and World War II (1917-1945), architectural plans for "Joe's House" (circa 1964), and undated notes and memoranda. The legal records, which form the bulk of the papers, contain 59 pages of indentures, articles of agreement, bonds, wills, letters of testimony, and land plot maps. There are also three pages of genealogy of the family of Major General John Hammond (c 1639-1707), a birth certificate for Anna Belle Floyd (dated 1965), and two keepsake locks of human hair.
