Scope and Contents note
The writings series contains handwritten manuscripts, corrected typescripts, various printed drafts, and proofs for most of Barth’s published work. Also included are notes and outlines made during the writing process. The series spans the years 1967 to 2012.

Arrangement note
The writings series is arranged by published work and is ordered chronologically using the original publication date. The Archives Fellow researched the publication date of each work in order to organize the series. Included are multiple drafts of an interview, which are located at the end of the series.
