A petition in which Patrick Cox petitions for his freedom from Jeremiah Stewart "in whose service he faithfully continued to the close of his indenture - that since the repudiation of his servitude he hath frequently made application to the said Jeremiah for his freedom dues, but has hitherto been denied the same." Dated June 24, 1798 in Frederick County, MD.
