Subgroup 2, series 4, American-Yugoslav Project, spanning the years 1965 to 1976, consists of correspondence and reports concerning the American- Yugoslav Project in Urban and Regional Planning Studies. This series is divided into four subseries. Subseries 1, General Correspondence, spans the years 1965 to 1971 and consists primarily of correspondence concerning the organization of the project and the management of the project's research center in Ljubljana, Yugoslavia. Confidential records have been removed and placed in a folder at the end of the subseries. Subseries 2, Subject Files, ranges in date from 1965 to 1976, and consists primarily of files of correspondence with prospective sources of funds for the project, as well as material on the project's summer session. Subseries 3, Papers, ranges in date from 1970 to 1976, and consists of correspondence and background materials concerning two studies published as part of the project. A copy of one of these papers, The Administration and Provision of Urban Services in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Ljubljana, Yugoslavia, is filed at the beginning of this subseries, while the other, John Dyckman's International Professional Exchange: The Implications of the American-Yugoslav Project, is in series 1, subseries 1, Occasional Papers. Subseries 4, Personnel and Budget Records, dates from 1968-1971, and contains the confidential personnel files of visiting researchers at the project's Ljubljana research center. Subseries 1 is arranged chronologically, while subseries 2-4 are arranged alphabetically by file title.
