Scope and Contents note
Series 4, subseries 1, Bologna Center Subject Files, 1945-1982, contains correspondence, reports and memoranda relating to fundraising efforts for the Bologna Center. This includes the Center's applications for aid from the United States and Italian governments, many European corporations and the Ford Foundation. Also included are copies of the correspondence between C. Grove Haines, director of the Center, and Francis O. Wilcox, dean of SAIS. The folders are arranged alphabetically by file title.
Series 4, subseries 2, Bologna Center and Nanjing Subject Files, 1983-1993, contains applications to ASHA (American Schools and Hospitals Abroad Program) with correspondence and memoranda concerning the applications. It contains information on the financial crises that occurred in each school. There are also grant applications from Bologna and Nanjing to the NRC (National Resource Center). The folders are arranged alphabetically by subject file.
