Series 2, Faculty, Visiting Faculty, Associates, and Fellows, contains files on individuals appointed to teaching and research positions in the department, or who were under consideration for such appointments. Items in the files include curricula vitae, general correspondence, and correspondence concerning hiring and promotion decisions. In some cases, individuals were previously also graduate students at this university and there is thus some overlap of student records in this series. Professor Abel Wolman is represented in the records. The series covers the years 1944 to 1988, but materials dating prior to the 1960s are fairly sparse.
