Scope and Contents note
Series 1, Administrative Records, spans the years 1924 to 1981, with most dating after 1959. The records are those of William H. Huggins, who chaired the department from 1971 to 1974, and a large portion deal primarily with the introduction of computers to the University in the 1960s, including funding proposals directed to the National Science Foundation for the purchase of a computer system. The remainder of the series focuses on Huggins's other activities such as the Biomedical Engineering Committee, the Provost Election Committee of 1970 and four class reunions.
